Now Embrace East Sussex is back up and running, we are slowly beginning to reintroduce some of the services we were previously offering prior to the Covid-19 Lockdown.
We would like to thank you all for your patience while we have reorganised the way we work with you – our parents, carers and supporters.
It certainly hasn’t been easy, but we are absolutely delighted that our hard work is paying off, and we will soon be in a position to share with you how the new services will look and be delivered.
One of our most popular and important services prior to lockdown was our parent support groups. We hope to start these again in the very near future, but with a difference.
Due to Covid measures these will initially be delivered online. We understand that this won’t be quite the same and for some of you online sessions may feel far from ideal, however, it will open our doors to those of you who previously were unable to access them due to childcare or other issues.
The phrase ‘new normal’ has become very popular in the last few months and this is one area of Embrace where it will apply. In the future we aim to offer in person group sessions once again, but for the time being we hope our new virtual meetings will be helpful.
For those of you who are looking for more personalised advice and support, our volunteers are ready and waiting in the wings. Our lovely Su has offered to run our telephone helpline every Friday (where circumstances allow) between 11am and 2pm.
Su has worked with Embrace as a volunteer for quite a few years now and really knows her stuff. So, if you have a question for her, or simply need someone to listen, you can give her a call on 01323 404775.
