Annette’s main aims are to promote inclusion of all special needs children and young people in East Sussex and to provide support and outreach services for families. She now runs both Saturday clubs as well as the parents support group.

Annette is passionate about her role choosing to work as a volunteer. She has been a registered foster carer and host other to foreign students since 2006. She was involved in running a youth club which her own children attended for several years.

Previously Annette was an active fundraiser for Across Trust which is a registered charity that enables sick and disabled people to go on holiday with the support of doctors and nursers. In more recent years Annette has been a fundraiser in memory of her young niece, Emma’s fund.

Prior to the launch of Embrace Annette was working for another local charity as Family Liaison Officer, Youth Club Coordinator, Parent Support Group Leader and Team Leader in the children’s club. All of these children being on the autistic spectrum.

Annette draws from a wealth of experience being a mother and grandmother and has a grandson who has autism and attends a special school.
